Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: -Colossians 1:12-14
This is a devotion written by Tim Green that I read this morning: "In northern Scotland, a group of men were returning from fishing. They stopped at an inn for a cup of tea. In serving the tea, the hostess spilled several cups, and tea stained a freshly white coated wall. "Oh, my!" exclaimed the waitress.
A single patron from another table rose from his place and, with a piece of chalk in his hand, knelt near the stainb and began to draw. The stain became a handsome red stag. With a piece of chalk, Sir Lancier, a famous artist, created beauty and blessing.
If an artist could accomplish the above with a piece of chalk, just think what God can do with that stain of your sin and the blood of Christ. The deep scar of sin upon your life can be healed in the crimson flow from Calvary."
Praise God, how true that is! Sometimes, it's hard to think that God could take someone like me and use me at all. I'm just a mom. I'm usually not that fun to be around, or at least I think that way. I don't think I have that much going for me. What could God possibly want with someone like me? Praise God that He uses me as I am. With all of the baggage from my past and with all the short-comings of my present, He still loves me and uses me in ways that amaze me. He gives me strength in my weaknesses and encourages others in spite of myself. Don't be discouraged and let satan try to tell you that you're less than you are. You are a perfect creation, created for a specific purpose. You are the perfect mom for your kids. You're the perfect wife for your husband. You're the perfect friend for your friends. You're the perfect person to accomplish God's will for your life.
Don't sell yourself short: You're exactly what God wants you to be.
Thank you... for reminding me in my Walk with God that he loves me as I am... not more... not less! Praise God in the Highest!
