Day One of Posting

Hmmm....I've never started a blog before, so I'll just start by rambling on. First of all, I'll just tell who I am. I am a Christian first, wife and mother second and all else falls into place behind that. I've been blessed by three lovely children and a wonderful and strong godly husband. I've been saved about 26 years, but I've really only been following the Lord, or at least serving the Lord, for about 14 years. I got saved when I was 16, and without any role models to show me how it's done, I quickly lost my fire and kept following the world's ways. But God was patient with me and led me back to Him just before I met my husband. I was searching for a church to go to when I was living in Rochester. I was single, a registered architect with a nice apartment and lots of good friends (or at least, I viewed them as good friends at the time) and just felt like my life was empty. When I met my husband, it was a whirlwind courtship. He was saved and I knew that he was the one for me. We were together two months when he proposed to me and then we got married 5 months later. Sixteen months later, we had our first child, Leah. Meanwhile, I had started going to his church, a good Bible believing Baptist church, when we met and rededicated my life to the Lord. How amazing is God's love and how great is His patience. Fast forward 13 years and we're now living in a different part of New York state. I'm a homeschooling mom, leading a homeschool co-op of about 60 families, serving in our local Bible believing Baptist church. We sing as a family. I play the guitar. My daughter has started playing the piano, but not to the point that she accompanies us yet. My son, Adam, plays the violin and Luke, our youngest wants to play the guitar, piano, harmonica, and basically anything that will make noise. So, here we are, a singing, praying, truth conveying family, trying our hardest to show forth God's glory in all that we do. More to come later......
